On top of it, the political situation and the speculation relating to the government may also have had an impact on the market, some analysts felt. The Sensex hit an all-time intra-trade peak of 19,198.66 in the afternoon before the big slump, the second biggest in a day after the 826.38 point fall on May 18, 2006.
The broader S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also scaled a new peak of 5,736.80 before ending lower by 208.30 points or 3.75 per cent at 5,351.00 from previous close of 5,559.30.

dont believe that markets would keep going up this way.
We do believe that markets should correct from here to
about 16,963. Rising of crude oil is also cause of worry today it showed $90 per barrel and which is not healthy for usa and Asian market effect you will see in opening of trade in Asia. Watch level of nifty 4980 and above 5550. About rollovers we can not say anything yesterday night FM said we have no intension to curb capital inflow in India but certain moderate steeps have to be taken and which is healthy for stock market its till full report of sbi we will guide you time to time . Bombay broker polted shorts for saying Prime minister Manmohan singh is going to RESIGN which was a rummer but it tanked the Sensex and Nifty like house of cards. Nifty 5230 5344 is another two level to watch bulls and bears fight only those enjoyed who see let them reconcile. wait and watch and see no advise here its all a big drama keep mum is best policy
